The administrative committee recommended delaying the denial of the license until July 31st, providing the establishment an extra month beyond the standard June 30th deadline to pay delinquent accounts. During July, the establishment would not hold a liquor license and thus could not sell or store liquor on the premises. The council approved this delayed non-renewal pending payment.

The decision followed a Plan Commission recommendation and aligns with previous approvals for similar home-based professional services.
Baraboo Council Approves Effinger Road Right-of-Way Dedication
The City of Baraboo Common Council approved the dedication of land for the Effinger Road right-of-way, as shown on a certified survey map prepared by General Engineering Company. This action, classified as a housekeeping item, is necessary because the original legal description meant landowners owned up to the center of the road. The landowners, through the certified survey map, are dedicating their portion of the right-of-way to the city, as required by the city's planning and subdivision ordinance. The Plan Commission had unanimously recommended approval.
Baraboo Water Utility Receives Grant for Lead Service Line Outreach
The City of Baraboo Water Utility received approval for an agreement with the Wisconsin DNR to participate in the Lead Service Lateral Community Outreach Grant Program. This grant will fully reimburse the utility over two years for enhancing resident communication about lead service lines, improving website and GIS mapping, and covering labor costs for identifying services. The council unanimously approved the grant.
