Bellingham Reviews Special 'SP' Trash and Recycling Rate Coding for Multi-Bin Properties

The Select Board reviewed the proposed rate structure for FY27 trash and recycling services, specifically focusing on the 'SP' (Special) coding which applies to properties with four trash and four recycling bins. While the analysis indicates this coding is currently priced appropriately, it was noted that this scenario is unusual and occurs with only two properties in town. The board discussed the potential for such configurations to increase due to Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and the need for consistency and fairness in billing.
