New Farm Park Master Plan Moves Forward with Board Feedback and Public Survey

The town board is considering a master plan for the New Farm Park, a 13-acre property acquired in 2023. The conceptual design phase, which has involved public meetings and input from the Port Committee and Colorado Openlands, aims to define the park's vision, goals, and layout. The preferred concept combines elements from three alternative concepts and includes amenities such as an amphitheater, parking areas, restrooms, picnic spaces, walking trails, and a nature playground. Staff is requesting board feedback to finalize the master plan and determine next steps, including a public survey and potential studies on viewsheds, solar impact, and noise levels. The project also includes exploring sponsorship opportunities.
