New Mayor Sworn In, Vice Mayor Elected, and Council Meeting Canceled

The City Council meeting commenced with the administration of the oath of office to the newly elected Mayor Wayne Worth, marking the first directly elected mayor since 1956. Following this, a motion was made and seconded to elect a vice mayor. Joseph Brockett Romano Jr. was nominated and elected as vice mayor through a vote where a majority of council members voted in favor.
