Cornelius Approves Rezoning for Vocational School in Village Center

The Board of Commissioners considered and approved a rezoning request for a small-scale vocational use within an existing commercial suite at 19701 Bethel Church Road. The property is located in the Village Center Zoning District and is part of the Catawba Mixed Use Land Use Classification. The proposed use, Aesthetic Reserves LLC, will be limited to 2,500 square feet with a maximum of 10 students and associated instructors, and the possibility of occasional walk-in clients. The applicant agreed to conditions including no structural changes, continued use of existing parking, and only one vocational use per building. Staff and the Planning Board recommended approval, finding the use consistent with the land use classification and conditions. The decision was approved with conditions.
