Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance Revisions Under Consideration

The council is considering revisions to Chapter 82, the flood damage prevention ordinance. These revisions are necessary for the well number three and four filtration project and aim to resolve conflicts within the existing ordinance. The current ordinance details construction specifications for utilities and stormwater facilities but lacks clear provisions for them. The proposed changes focus on incorporating existing utilities within floodplains into the ordinance. The recommendation is to send the proposed revisions to the zoning and planning committee for comments and recommendations.
