Town Considering Sidewalk Repair Assistance for Storm Damage

Resident Reports Severe Sewage Backup; Town to Inspect Manholes
A resident from 421 East 34th Street reported significant sewage backup into their basement during a rain event where only 1.39 inches of rain fell. The resident has had to hire private services for tree and root removal and is seeking town assistance for damaged sidewalks. The resident has two manholes at the start of their sewer stack that need cleaning before a plumber can address the internal drains, which are clogged with mud and toilet paper. The town has committed to inspecting the manholes after the meeting.
Griffith Police Department Authorized to Purchase New Patrol Vehicle
