This property is designated for the development of a new hotel. The owner of the property will be the Vintage Hotel Group from Chattanooga. City Code Updated to Streamline Purchasing Policy References
The Johnson City Commission conducted the second reading and public hearing for an ordinance revising the city code related to purchasing authority thresholds. This ordinance amends Title 5, Chapter 1 of the Johnson City Code of Ordinances to reference the Johnson City Purchasing Policy Manual, streamlining the process and reducing inconsistencies between state code, city code, and the purchasing policy. The changes do not alter the existing limits of authority for purchasing. Following approval, any future changes to the purchasing policy itself would require commission review and approval through a resolution.
