Fire and Police Departments Present June 2026 Activity Reports

The Public Safety Committee meeting included updates from the Fire Department and Police Department for the month of June 2026. The Fire Department reported on staffing, bills, overtime, vehicle maintenance, call volume (including structure fires and medical calls), EMS call turnovers, fire and EMS billing, fire prevention activities, community risk reduction programs, and training. The Police Department provided reports on manpower, firearms recovered, vehicle cameras, overtime, bills (including dispatch services, ballistic vests, and investigative tools), monthly statistics (calls for service, cases, arrests, traffic stops, citations, firearms recovered, accidents, homicides, shots fired incidents), domestic violence arrests, citations issued, administrative tows, group A and B crimes, and speeding/traffic enforcement efforts. Discussions also covered mutual aid agreements, EMS call turnovers to private ambulances, domestic violence trends, and the use of new investigative data tools.
