City Council Upholds Approval for New Industrial Building Amidst Neighbor Concerns
The City Council heard an appeal regarding a Site Development Permit (SDP) for the demolition of an existing building and construction of a new 165,800 sq ft industrial building at 26200 Enterprise Way. The appeal was filed by We the Meadows community group against the Planning Commission's approval. The project site is located in an existing industrial area. The council deliberated on various environmental impacts, including vehicle miles traveled (VMT) and greenhouse gas emissions, as well as community concerns regarding noise, traffic, and proximity to residential areas. After extensive public comment and deliberation, the City Council voted to uphold the Planning Commission's approval by adopting the CEQA findings and approving the SDP with revised conditions of approval. Councilmember U voted no.
