City Council Approves Payment of Bills Totaling Over $680,000
The council approved a motion to pay the submitted bills totaling $680,836.60. The motion was made and seconded, followed by a roll call vote which resulted in passage.
AT&T Granted Permission to Break Ground for Utility Work
The council granted AT&T's request to break ground at 901 First Street for underground digging to install new service. A motion to accept the request was made by Alderman Deus, seconded by Alderman Reynolds, and approved by voice vote.
Raffle License for Youth and Family Solutions Approved to Proceed Pending Ratification
The council discussed a raffle license application for the Center of Youth and Family Solutions for a 50-50 raffle to be held on July 18th at the Detour. The accepted bid includes a base bid of $52,494.50 and an alternate bid of $32,886.90, totaling $85,381.35. The city aims to keep costs closer to $52,000-$60,000 by utilizing existing topsoil, with the maximum expenditure capped at $85,000. The finance committee had previously approved this bid.
