Marysville Council Debates and Approves Planning Services Contract Amendment
During the discussion of item number six, regarding an amendment to the contract with Management Advisory Services (MAS), Councilmember Rollins expressed appreciation for the work done by MAS and made a motion to pass the amendment as presented. Councilmember Hudson inquired about the budget amount being added and the original contract amount. Finance Director clarified that the $160,000 is for the year and not an additional amount to a previous larger sum. The previous contract was for $133,000. Councilmember Hudson also stated that she thinks highly of Kathy and her organization and suggested starting a new contract next time.
Marysville City Council Receives Updates on Diverse Development Projects and Grant Opportunities
The council discussed various ongoing and upcoming projects. The Ellis Lake Pathway project is going out to bid. D-Street lighting improvements are planned. The city is undertaking a sewer relocation for Caltrans as part of the Benny Junction project, with construction of the hotel and Grocery Outlet underway. Several grant applications are being pursued, including for streets, transforming communities, and parks (Deach Park, Very Near Plaza Park).
