Naramack School Gym to Receive Air Conditioning with Additional Funding
The Board of Education approved an increase to the owner's contingency allowance for the Newfield Construction Group LLC's guaranteed maximum price for the Naramack School HVAC AIQ projects. This increase, not to exceed $260,900.23, is to include air conditioning for the gymnasium. The funds will be sourced from available funds, specifically from temporary improvement air conditioning projects that are not being used this year, rather than the project's owner contingency which is being preserved for potential Eversource-related issues.
Norwalk Senior Center Receives Grant for Patio Improvements and ADA Upgrades
The Norwalk Senior Center will receive reimbursement funds for a patio improvement project, including ADA upgrades, located at its leased facilities in Roosevelt Center. The project aims to replace a hazardous brick patio, making it more accessible and safer for seniors, the elderly, and disabled individuals. The improvements include widening doors, adding a ramp, and ensuring safe egress. This project is funded by CDBG HUD reimbursement grant funds provided by the Norwalk Redevelopment Agency.
