Annual Contract Renewal Approved for Tax Software
The board approved the renewal of Delta Software agreement for tax software for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2026, and ending September 30, 2027. The annual cost is approximately $1,350 per month.
Municipal Reserve and Trust Fund Report Shows $43.26 Million Balance
The board received a presentation of the annual report for the municipal reserve and trust fund from Watkins Ward and Stafford, prepared by CPA Ed Maxwell. The report for the trust fund related to the city's sale of the hospital permit in 2013 showed a net change in fund balance, bringing the total investment fund balance to $43,260,000. This represented a 10.11% increase in earnings. The maximum available distribution to the city was calculated at $1,29,000 as of March 31, 2026. Total distributions to the city general fund by the trust are now at $11,979,000.
Dump Truck with Snow Plow Purchased for Development Services
The board approved accepting the reverse auction bid for a tag truck center for a 14-yard dump truck with a snow plow for the development service street department. The bid was within budget parameters.
Emergency Fund Purchases Approved for Winter Storm Fern Response
The board approved emergency fund purchases made in response to Winter Storm Fern, which occurred from January 23rd to 26th, 2026. It was noted that invoices are still being processed and are expected to dwindle.
Final Plat Amendment Approved for Creekwood Subdivision
The board approved a final plat amendment for Creekwood subdivision lot 13, case number 3287, requested by Andy Calakut for property at 1013 Harland Drive. The amendment proposes splitting the existing lot into two smaller lots, 13A and 13B. Lot 13B will accommodate the regional storm water detention for the Bella development. The proposed lots meet minimum lot size and width requirements for the underlying suburban residential zoning. The planning commission had recommended approval with three conditions, and staff recommended approval with two conditions.
