Board of Selectmen Accepts Donations for Bus Replacement and Flagpole Improvement
The Board of Selectmen accepted two donations from the Pelham Council on Aging. The first donation of $25,000 is designated for the Senior Center Bus Subsidization Trust Fund to aid in the future replacement of the Senior Center passenger bus. The second donation of $1,500 is for the town center flagpole improvement trust fund. Both motions passed with a 5-0-0 vote.
250th Celebration Ticket Sales Progressing, Fundraising for Extras Underway

Updates on Historical Society, Road Race, Community Events, and Farmers Market
Mr. Keishan provided updates on several town organizations and events. The Historical Society is open on Saturdays and meets on the fourth Monday of the month. The Pelham Community Coalition Road Race raised over $12,000, with funds returning to Pelham, and also purchased a trailer that was an 'eye-opener' for parents. The Pelham Community Spirit organization, which ran the Independence Day event, apologized for early fireworks due to weather concerns and is now planning the Festival of Trees. He also noted there are open volunteer positions for Pelham Community Spirit, requiring personal time and effort for events like Independence Day and the Festival of Trees. The farmers market runs every Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM.
Fire Department Training and Community Power Update
Mr. Gaggan reported on his experience at a live fire burn training with the fire department, led by Chief Newman, which he described as astounding and a phenomenal life event. He also provided an update on Community Power, clarifying that updated rates and references to Pell and Community Power will appear on July's bills, as the program went live in June. He noted that Pell and Community Power is currently priced at 11 cents per kilowatt hour, with savings expected compared to Liberty's current rate of 13 cents, which is set to increase to 15 cents in August.
