A single deficiency was noted regarding a payroll cash account reconciliation, with a recommendation to use the Edmonds system for reconciliations. The report detailed pension and OPEB plan funding statuses, showing improvements in 2025 due to a 15% rate of return. Governmental revenues and expenses remained stable compared to 2024, with slight increases in real estate taxes and intergovernmental revenues. Long-term debt decreased slightly, and the fund balance showed a decrease in the general fund due to transfers to the community center and capital funds, while those funds increased. The auditor also provided context on significant risks identified (management override of controls and improper revenue recognition), clarifying these are standard considerations and not findings. The report confirmed no issues with internal controls or excessive adjusting entries.
Parks and Recreation Sees Increased Pool Usage, Successful Summer Programs, and Upcoming Events
