The Rantoul Village Board of Trustees discussed and approved the purchase of gas meter nodes from Eaton Corporation for $40,352 as part of the AMR/AMI meter project, aiming to finalize the update to automatic meter reading. They also approved the purchase of a custom utility box for a new Public Works Gas Division truck from Nap Eye Truck Equipment Center for $63,876. Additionally, the board approved the purchase of a trailer-mounted P2 Dura Patcher from CMW Equipment for $102,500 for street systems division pavement preservation. Finally, they approved agreements and material purchases related to the Prospect Substation and feeder exits project for the Electric Department, including a service agreement change request with BHMG Engineers ($400,000 not to exceed) and the purchase of express line materials from United Utilities Supply ($207,596.49).
