Fort Argyle Land Annexed and Rezoned for Mixed-Use Development

The council considered a petition to annex 123.159 acres at 0 Fort Argyle Road from Chatham County to the city of Savannah. The annexation was approved by an 8-1 vote. Following this, the council considered a zoning map amendment for 274.9 acres at 0 Fort Argyle Road and 1150 Fort Argyle Road. The amendment rezones the area from AR (Chatham County) and RSF6 (City of Savannah) to Argyle Grove planned development, allowing for residential, commercial, and mixed-use development. This rezoning was approved with a condition for a 50-foot buffer around existing residential parcels, passing 8-1.

Savannah City Council Honors PAL Girls Flag Football Program for Championship Season

The Savannah City Council recognized the Savannah Police Athletic League (PAL) Girls Flag Football Program for their exceptional 2026 season. Georgia Power Donates $40,000 for City Hall Dome Lighting Restoration
