City Hall Operations Update, Signage Rules, and Community Event Recognition

The City Administrator provided an update on the operational status of the new City Hall located at Civic Way or Scholarship Way. The new location is now fully functional for services such as building permits, utility bill payments, and other licenses and permits. An after-hours utility payment drop-off box has also been relocated to the new site, accessible by the main sidewalk leading to the entrance. Residents experiencing difficulties with GPS navigation to the new location are advised to use '1 Scholarship Way' as an address and to consult the city's website for maps and directions. The City Administrator also reminded residents about signage rules for election signs and contractor signs, emphasizing they must be placed on the house side of the sidewalk or approximately 10 feet back from the curb to ensure safety and maintain visibility at intersections. Election judge training has been completed for the current needs, but additional training opportunities may arise, and interested individuals are encouraged to contact Keisha. Finally, the City Administrator expressed gratitude for the community's participation and volunteer efforts in the recent 'old-fashioned 4th of July' event, highlighting its success and enjoyable atmosphere.
