City Seeks $300K Grant to Plan Redevelopment for Westside Getty's Corridor
The city is seeking to apply for a $300,000 planning grant to establish a new Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) plan for the Westside Getty's Corridor. City Resolution Supports Grant Application for Krauss Marshall BID Facade Improvements
The Downtown Committee of Syracuse is seeking approval to apply for building renovation and facade improvement funds for the Krauss Marshall Business Improvement District area through the New York State consolidated funding application. The application is due July 31st and requires municipal support in the form of a resolution. There are no matching funds requested from the city, as all matching funds will be provided by property owners. The resolution is in support of the Krauss Marshall Business Improvement District as the applicant.
City Seeks Grant for Inner Harbor Peer Design and Redesign
The city is applying for a grant through the New York State Department of State Local Waterfront Revitalization Program for the peers in the inner harbor. This is a follow-up grant to provide Phase 2 funding for the design of these peers. Initial funding was secured for evaluation, survey, and structural analysis, work for which will be put out to bid. These projects are part of the city's Vision Zero initiative and aim to improve cycling infrastructure and pedestrian safety. The application deadline for these grants is July 31st.
