City Council Approves Over $1 Million in Equipment Purchases and Container Contract

The property, located at 602 Almer Avenue, is currently a vacant lot where a site-built single-family residence previously stood. The Planning Commission had recommended approval with an 8-0-1 vote. During the council meeting, concerns were raised about the neighborhood's residential character, with only one mobile home existing within a 1,000-foot radius of the property. However, after discussion and public testimony from the applicants and a supporter, the council ultimately voted to approve the permit, allowing the mobile home to be placed on the corner lot.
