NCMA Winston-Salem Embarks on Major Renovation, Launches Downtown Gallery and Community Programming
The NCMA Winston-Salem, formerly known as SECCA, is undergoing a significant renovation and restoration of its buildings and grounds, estimated to cost nearly $20 million. The project, which began in January, focuses on sustainability and accessibility, with plans to update mechanical systems and improve campus access. While the main facility on Marguerite will be closed for approximately 18 to 20 months, the organization is launching a new downtown gallery on Fourth Street, opening July 16th, and expanding community programming in various parks and libraries to continue engaging the public with art.
