Council Adopts Transit Title VI Plan to Ensure Non-Discrimination
The council approved Resolution 2026-053, adopting the transit title 6 plan. This plan is a requirement from the FTA and Department of Transportation to ensure transit systems receiving federal funds comply with non-discrimination rules based on race, color, or national origin. The plan serves as a guiding document outlining the transit authority's approach to non-discrimination and will be uploaded to the FTA for review. It is a living document that needs to be updated every three years, with the last update in 2023. If modifications are requested by the FTA, they will be incorporated into the document.
